Dear friends and colleagues
We are honoured to welcome you to the second European Emergency Medical Services Congress (EMS) in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The congress will take place 22 May – 24 May 2017.
Copenhagen: Vibrant and progressive
Copenhagen is one of the most vibrant and progressive cities in Northern Europe. The Danish capital thrives on a mixture of its beautiful medieval city centre, brave new architecture, a rich cultural life and an extraordinary culinary scene. The city is renowned for its take on biking – you can reach anywhere in the city within a 15 minute bike ride – and, perhaps most famously, the all-important “hygge”, giving rise to a distinctively Danish sense of wellbeing that we hope you will enjoy with us.

Culture of excellence
Following the great success of EMS2016 with more than 1.100 participants from 37 countries, we now invite you for the second European Emergency Medical Services Congress – EMS2017 in Copenhagen. Once again the congress will bring together researchers, health care professionals and managers in the area of emergency medical services and pre-hospital care.
Through innovation, involvement and a creative approach EMS2017 will provide the latest knowledge in EMS – from the citizen’s emergency call all the way to pre-hospital treatment and treatment in the emergency departments. With a variety of inspiring international keynote lectures, exciting stat-of-the-art sessions, simulation-based workshops and the European EMS Championship, EMS2017 will discuss and demonstrate excellence in emergency care.
We look forward to seeing YOU and your colleagues in Copenhagen, where we together will make EMS2017 one of the most exciting EMS events in 2017!
On behalf of the European EMS Leadership Network and the EMS2017 organizing committee,
